The California Department of Real Estate just recently published a new consumer fraud alert focusing on what consumers can do to protect themselves from real estate and home loan relief scams.
The alert goes into not only what to do but gives a list of questions you should ask those people and entities claiming they can help you.

The Department of Real Estate also has consumer information on Loan Modification on its web site as well as past consumer alerts. Be vary weary of these scams and don't fall prey. When in doubt ask a Realtor you know and trust. |
